Wheatgrass is thought to be one of nature's finest medicines. Wheatgrass is comprised of a variety of grass used for therapeutic and nutritional purposes. It can be taken as a juice, in a dried concentrate, powder or tablets. I have even heard of people simply chewing the grass itself and spitting out the pulp once the juice was extracted.
Wheatgrass is mostly known for its roles as a blood purifier, liver detoxer and colon cleanser. Rich in chlorophyll like chorella, which it why it is green. It is an inexpensive and wonderful way to cleanse, nourish, rejuvenate and heal your body. The list for aliments that wheatgrass can treat are endless. Wheatgrass is thought to help with conditions from cancer to diabetes, and ADD to autism. I personally don't mind the taste either.
Wheatgrass is simple to sprout. I have even sprouted a batch on my kitchen counter. I haven't sprouted any in a while because my juicer just couldn't handle it. The grass is thick and course and can really destroy a traditional juicer. They do make juicers just for wheatgrass, I just need to get one, so that I can start sprouting again. They even have a smoothie place in town that has wheatgrass shots.
If you are unable to grow and juice your own wheatgrass there are some very good supplements on the market. I have used
"Sweet Wheat" in the past for myself and for my children. The pills are easy because you don't have the taste to deal with, and I would break open a capsule for my kids and put it in their juice.
So give wheatgrass a shot, what have you got to lose!!! Its does the body good!!
